For many years, I didn’t understand why my body felt heavy, inflamed, and sluggish despite eating well and living a largely holistic lifestyle. It wasn’t until I began deeply studying the lymphatic system... and listening to my body... that everything started to make sense.
The lymphatic system is not optional. It is not secondary. It is the river through which waste leaves the body, and when it becomes congested, everything downstream is affected.
This journey became even more personal when I acknowledged a decision I made at a young age... getting breast implants... that I now understand placed an unnecessary burden on my lymphatic system. I am currently in the process of revision, and supporting my lymph has become a cornerstone of my healing.
What the Lymphatic System Actually Does (And Why It Matters)
Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system has no pump. It relies on:
• Movement
• Hydration
• Breath
• Nutrition
• Herbs
Its primary roles include:
• Removing cellular waste and toxins
• Transporting immune cells
• Maintaining fluid balance
• Supporting hormone clearance
When lymph stagnates, symptoms can show up as:
• Swelling or heaviness
• Hormonal imbalance
• Fatigue
• Skin issues
• Brain fog
This is especially important for women, as the breast tissue is dense with lymph nodes.

When I chose to get breast implants at a young age, I didn’t fully understand how foreign materials can impede lymphatic flow, particularly in the chest, underarms, and upper body.
