Self-Care as Sacred Healing: Living Foods, Lymphatic Flow & Karmic Clearing

Self-Care as My Lifelong Foundation

Self-care has always been a mainstay for me~not something I stumbled into late in life, but the foundation I’ve built everything upon.

In my 20s, I began as a fitness model, then moved into glamour magazine modeling. From there, I was hired by luxury retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom as a fragrance model for Hanae Mori.

Looking good was never a passing goal, it was, and still is, a lifelong must. In order to get hired and paid as a model, I needed to be fit and beautiful.

And here’s the truth: you cannot fake true radiance. Not with cosmetics. Not with filters. Not with injections into your forehead.

Radiance isn’t something you paint on at 8 AM and wipe off at night. It comes from within, through diet, lifestyle, and consistent rituals that support your organs, your skin, your energy, and your spirit.

That’s why self-care for me has never been optional. It’s the non-negotiable thread that runs through everything I do.

My Morning Rituals ~ Moving the Lymph & Nourishing the Cells

Every morning begins with warm lemon water sweetened with real stevia green leaf grown in my garden. Many people don’t know that Green leaf Stevia, (not the white junk you get in the store), is actually a cancer preventative. Simple, cleansing, and powerful.

From there, I spend a few minutes rebounding to move my lymphatic system, which is crucial for flushing toxins and keeping my immune system strong.

Next, I dry brush, and spend time in the sauna, allowing my body to sweat out what no longer serves it. I follow that with red-light therapy, which nourishes my cells, reduces inflammation, and supports anti-aging on a deep cellular level.

These rituals may look small on the surface, but they compound into longevity, resilience, and a glow that cannot be faked.

Living Foods, Juicing & Natural Hygiene

Once my body has moved, sweated, and received light, I turn to nourishment. I thrive on a living foods diet! I indulge in big, colorful salads, raw sides, and even raw desserts that satisfy without sacrificing health.

Daily cold-pressed juices are my lifeline. They flood my cells with oxygen, enzymes, minerals, and plant-based energy. Pairing this with natural hygiene principles like food combining keeps digestion light and effortless. This means my energy isn’t tied up in breaking down meals, it’s free for creating, healing, and living fully.

Let’s not forget the fresh fruit. I love eating mono, fruit meals, or making fruit salads with fresh, mint chives, thyme, and herbs from the garden.

And let me be honest~I laugh when I see young girls with their elaborate seven-step skincare routines. I’ve never had a seven-step, a four-step, or even a two-step skincare routine. Yet, I glow like a sunny filter in broad daylight.

Why? Because skin health doesn’t come from bottles~it comes from how clean your colon is, how hydrated your cells are, and how much life-force energy is in the food you eat.

Andrea’s Top 7 Self-Care Practices

Here are the seven pillars I return to, day after day, year after year:

  1. Lemon Water First Thing – Hydration that wakes up the liver and sets digestion in motion. I generally follow this with herbal tea. I also love this herbal drink combo by Juice Plus!

  2. Rebounding for Lymphatic Flow – Keeps toxins moving out of the body.

  3. Sauna + Red-Light Therapy – Detoxifies, soothes inflammation, and nourishes mitochondria.

  4. Cold-Pressed Juicing – Delivers live nutrients straight to the cells.

  5. Living Foods Diet – Salads, bitter greens, raw sides, fresh fruit, desserts, and food combining for radiant health.

  6. Colon Cleansing & Enemas – Coffee, baking soda, lemon juice, and wheatgrass enemas for deep detox and skin clarity.

  7. Karmic Clearing – Releasing toxic loops and ancestral patterns so energy flows freely.

These are not trends. They are the blueprint that has sustained me for decades and allowed me to keep showing up for my clients, my animals, and myself~even during the most challenging seasons of my life.

The Colon, The Real Secret to Radiant Skin

Let’s talk about what most people are too afraid to say: true skin health starts in the colon. When elimination slows down, toxins back up. They show on your face, in your mood, and in your energy levels. No cream or serum can cover that up.

This is why colon cleansing has been non-negotiable for me. For years, I’ve used coffee enemas to support the liver, baking soda enemas to restore alkalinity, lemon juice enemas to cleanse, and wheatgrass enemas to deeply rejuvenate the cells.

It might not be glamorous, but it works~and it’s the reason I can glow naturally without Botox, fillers, or filters.

Clearing Karma as Self-Care

But self-care isn’t just physical~it’s energetic. Over the years, I’ve seen how unresolved karmic loops drain people faster than junk food or sugar ever could. When you’re stuck in toxic relationships, repeating family patterns, or reopening old wounds, your nervous system never rests.

Truth be told, at this stage in my life I protect my peace fiercely. When individuals attempt to reopen karmic doors I’ve already closed, I make sure they stay closed~ firmly, respectfully, and if necessary, through the proper legal channels.

Boundaries are a form of self-care, and honoring them allows me to keep my energy clear and focused on the life I’m creating.

That’s why I created my Break Karmic Cycles program. It’s about clearing contracts, cutting cords, and finally walking away from the patterns that keep you small.

Energetic detox is as crucial as colon cleansing. When you clear karma, you create space for peace, love, and vitality to flourish.
